First club members get a great 'deal' of productivity

Local business entrepreneurs Jane Harrad-Roberts and Phil Brotherhood with Alice Cox, the new sales and marketing manager of The Club and Spa at Hoole Hall, Chester.

Local business entrepreneurs Jane Harrad-Roberts and Phil Brotherhood have snapped up the first memberships at The Club and Spa at Hoole Hall to help increase their work productivity via exercise.

Being the first to join also means Jane and Phil benefit from an inflation-busting founder member offer. The first 200 members to join the new £8 million luxury club and spa (opening in November) receive fixed price membership for life.

Jane is managing director of Chester marketing and PR firm, Marketing Projects, and along with Head of Public Relations Phil Brotherhood, knows the importance of exercise to a business.

Results from a study by the University of Bristol, published in the International Journal of Workplace Health Management, proves that after exercising workers perform significantly better and show by improved time management and mental sharpness.

Jane says:

"I took up membership on behalf of myself and colleague Phil as I think that exercise is important for motivation. We work very long hours - and I also have three children - so it's important to maintain energy levels and enjoy leisure time. The Club and Spa at Hoole Hall is in a great location for our offices in Christleton, we can even bike here if we get fit enough!"

"I was very keen to become a member after seeing the plans, they haven't skimped on anything, only offering the very best - I can't wait to start!

"Any company to invest this amount of money in a recession deserves to be a success and we're proud to be involved."

Located in the stunning grounds of the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Chester, at the edge of the private and secluded Victorian walled garden of the 18th century manor house, The Club and Spa at Hoole Hall will provide the ultimate fitness haven.

Facilities provided by the club and spa will be second to none. Equipment will include industry leaders Vibrogym and the latest technical development, X-Dream bikes. Both are available to try-out in the marketing suite located in the grounds of the Doubletree by Hilton Chester.

Phil says:

"Exercise is so important for focus and concentration; being in my 30s I have to look after myself a little more.

"I usually just concentrate on the running machine and weights when I go to the gym but I'm looking forward to using all of the great kit that's going to be in the club. I've tried the Vibrogym and the X-dream bike already - I've never been so impressed by the equipment at a gym before!"

Manager Paul Kelsall says:

"It's great to have our first members Jane and Phil on-board. They're the perfect example of busy people who need a retreat for fitness and well being.

"We've worked hard to design a setting that is tailored to fitness, but also has that extra level of luxury. We know how important it is that hard-working people enjoy their leisure time."

The marketing suite opened at the beginning of this month and there are still inflation-busting founder memberships available. Club and spa manager Paul and Marketing and Sales manager Alice Cox are there daily to discuss the facilities and membership options.

Both The Club and Spa at Hoole Hall and the Doubletree by Hilton Chester are operated by Sanguine Hospitality Ltd and are located on Warrington Road, Chester CH2 3PD, seconds away from junction 12 of the M53.
