MARCO Pierre White, the godfather of modern cookery, is blazing a culinary trail into the North West with the launch of two venues.
The fiery TV chef, famed for his no-nonsense approach and Michelin-star food, has confirmed that he will open two restaurants, one in Chester and one in the Lancashire town of Aughton, early next year.
The first of the two restaurants Marco Pierre White at The Swan Inn in Aughton will open in January followed by the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar & Grill at the Doubletree by Hilton Chester in February.
Marco Pierre White says:
"The future of eating out in my opinion is affordable glamour, straightforwardness, back to basics. This is what I will be bringing to the North West with the opening of the restaurants.
"This marks a new chapter in my career, I've never lost my Northern roots and I can't wait to bring the next generation of cooking to the region. It's about the occasion, about being with your family and friends, the experience as a whole.
"Romance is what it's all about in this industry, it's what customers look for, but this is what a lot of modern day restaurants lack. Romance is the only thing that never dates - so I will invite my guests to step into a romantic environment."
The move represents a significant coup for Sanguine Hospitality Ltd which, with the help of Marco's long standing friend and local restaurant entrepreneur Francis Carroll, successfully enticed the Hell's Kitchen star to embark on his first UK venture outside the South of England.
Tony Wright, Manager of Doubletree by Hilton Chester says:
"We are ecstatic to be bringing Marco Pierre White to the North West.
"This news isn't just great for us; it's fantastic for Chester and the North West region as a whole. There is nothing of this calibre in the area and it's great for tourists and locals alike."
