White Welcomes the Neighbours at New North West Restaurant

Culinary maestro Marco Pierre White will host a grand opening event at his new restaurant in Aughton, Lancashire next week.

The event at The Swan Inn, which takes place on Thursday 25 February, will feature a lunch and dinner service to mark the official launch of his first North West venue.

White, the Godfather of modern British cooking, will welcome members of the public, his friends and a smattering of local celebrities, to join him at the venue.

Guests will be treated to a three-course meal featuring some of the celebrity chef's favourite dishes, as well as champagne and canapes upon arrival. White will also take part in a Q & A session, with guests also receiving a signed copy of his latest book 'Marco Pierre White's Great British Feast.'

White said:

"We felt it highly appropriate to hold a normal dinner service for the launch event, as it epitomises everything we are trying to create at The Swan - a venue that is renowned for good quality food in an environment that is inviting, not intimidating.

"As a village inn, our customers are as important as our food, so we want local residents and restaurant-goers to join us at the launch. I'm really looking forward to meeting the neighbours and getting their feedback on the venue."

Tickets for the evening dinner cost 75, while guests will have to pay 55 for the lunchtime event.

Marco Pierre White at The Swan Inn represents a significant coup for Sanguine Hospitality which, with the help of Marco's long-standing friend and local restaurant entrepreneur Francis Carroll, successfully enticed the Hell's Kitchen star to embark on his first UK venture outside the South of England.

His second restaurant - Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar & Grill at the Doubletree by Hilton Chester opened on 14th February 2010.
