Team members at The Club & Spa at Hoole Hall got involved with Sport Relief and raised an impressive 415 GBP with an exhausting Spinning Bikathon fundraiser.
Headed by Club and Spa manager Paul Kelsall, the team set-up three spinning bikes outside the entrance of Doubletree by Hilton Chester and received generous donations from hotel guests and members of staff.
The accumulated distance for the three bikes was 500 miles covering the distance from Brighton to Inverness - the bottom of England right through to the highlands of Scotland!
Staff from the Club & Spa at Hoole Hall manned the hi-tech bikes throughout the day and even got some help from hotel staff as energy levels started to strain. As the evening drew near Tony Wright Doubletree by Hilton Chester manager donned his tracksuit to pitch-in for the good cause.
Paul Kelsall says:
"The Spinning Bikathon for Sport Relief event was a great success. It was fantastic to see everyone get together and cycle to raise money for such a great cause. Visitors, club members and staff were extremely generous with their time and money!
"It's still not too late to donate to Sport Relief if you go online to www.sportrelief.com. It's an amazing cause which supports people living horribly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world's poorest countries."
Both The Club and Spa at Hoole Hall and the Doubletree by Hilton Chester are operated by Sanguine Hospitality Ltd and are located on Warrington Road, Chester CH2 3PD, seconds away from junction 12 of the M53.
