Mimmo takes the reins at Marco Pierre White

A new restaurant manager has been appointed at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill.

Mimmo Pomo will now take charge of the day-to-day running of the eatery which is located at DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House in Congresbury, North Somerset.

Originally from Puglia on the ‘heel of Italy’ Mimmo’s extensive knowledge of European cuisine is second to none having been brought up on a wide variety of home grown Mediterranean food as well as experience of working in France, Spain, and Greece.

More recently Mimmo was in charge at both Aqua Bar & Restaurant and the San Carlo restaurant in Bristol.

Mimmo now hopes his passion for quality dining will enhance the experience of those who visit the restaurant at Cadbury House.

He said:

For me making sure the atmosphere is right in any restaurant sends a clear message to the diner that there is a strong passion for the food, quality of service and overall dining experience.

I now plan to make the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill one of the best known restaurants in the region so that it remains top-of-mind when people are deciding on where to eat out and where the best dining experience is to be enjoyed.

Marco Pierre White is without doubt the most influential British chefs ever and to work in one of his restaurants is a fantastic opportunity. It will also allow me to explore British cuisine which in my opinion has lots to offer in term of excitement and variety.

Opened in September 2010, the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill has already established itself as one of the region’s premier eateries.

The restaurant has Marco’s personality stamped all over it. Like the great man himself the decor is dark and sultry, alive with his unique brand of charisma and tinged with a hint of his devilish sense of humour.

A great advocate of locally produced, ethically reared and grown ingredients, much of the meat served is source from Somerset farms and his fish from nearby Devon and Cornwall. Even West Country cheeses and home county beers (Butcombe Blond) and ciders (Gaymers and Thatchers Gold) make an appearance.

For those not wanting a t-bone, rib eye or sirloin steak there’s a range of grilled and roast meats and fish mainboards to tempt every tastebud.
